Volunteer: College ChampionsCollege students are invited for the unique opportunity to serve as educators for local elementary students through an innovative program called JA College Champions. Developed by Junior Achievement (JA), the program pairs college students with elementary students to impart crucial lessons on financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship. Volunteers participate in JA leadership training to prepare them to serve as role models and present lessons for elementary and middle school students. This mutually beneficial program not only excites the elementary students, but also provides invaluable personal and professional development for the college participants. This program is a win-win for everyone involved. The college students get to sharpen their communication and leadership skills, while the elementary students gain access to important life skills that will set them up for future success.
