Needs From: Volunteer El Paso

Join United Way and the Center for Resiliency in honoring our community by volunteering at the Day of Remembrance on Sunday, August 2. The Day of Remembrance commemorates those impacted by the August 3, 2019 tragedy and provides our community with an opportunity to reflect, remember, and heal together. Volunteers will serve at Ascarate Park by helping prepare for and support the evening remembrance ceremony.

8 am and 9 pm shifts have been filled. Please sign up for the 3:30 pm shift on Sunday August 2nd. Please report to the Pavillion inside Ascarate Park upon arrival. You are welcome to stay and volunteer multiple shifts. Parking available on a first-come first-serve basis. Please wear comfortable outdoor clothing, wear a hat and sunscreen to protect yourself from the heat. Cold drinks will be available. 

This is a meaningful opportunity to give back through service while standing in solidarity with our community and those affected by the tragedy. Family and friends are welcome to volunteer alongside YLS members.

Help spread the word about the Flying Horse Half Marathon & 10K, 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run by joining our Street Team! Volunteers will help promote the event by distributing flyers throughout assigned areas of El Paso. You'll receive promotional materials, a designated target area, and tips on where to post and share flyers. Then you'll head out into the community to help us reach as many people as possible before returning any unused flyers.

Your efforts will help increase community awareness and participation in the Flying Horse Race, supporting United Way of El Paso County's mission to improve lives across our community. No experience is necessary, just comfortable walking, reliable transportation, and enthusiasm for supporting a great cause!

Join Marathon Petroleum in helping distribute food to community members in need. Volunteers will assist with food distribution and help ensure the event runs smoothly.
Arrival Instructions: Please enter through the side gate on Dulany Ave. The gate will be closed—simply press the call button, provide your name, and let security know you are volunteering for the food distribution event.
