Volunteer: Sunland Park Community Engagement InternAbout the Opportunity: We’re seeking enthusiastic, motivated individuals eager to build their portfolio, gain valuable professional experience, and contribute to meaningful community impact. WHAT YOU’LL DO:As a Community Engagement Intern, you will: Participate in community events to share information, distribute materials, and engage with residents. Assist in developing content for newsletters, social media, and promotional campaigns. Support event planning, logistics, and day-of event execution. Help coordinate community tours and special presentations. Collect and analyze real-time feedback and data from community leaders and event participants. Contribute to reports and presentations summarizing community outreach activities. Connect community members with referrals and resources, and maintain a community resource directory. Research and identify opportunities to strengthen relationships with business and community partners. Assist with volunteer recruitment, training, and engagement. Support executive and outreach programming, including communications and marketing efforts. Collaborate with staff to implement outreach programs, classroom visits, and partner events. WHAT YOU BRING:Current college student majoring in Communications, Marketing, Public Administration, Government, Business, Social Work, or a related field. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Creativity, initiative, and a collaborative mindset. Willingness to work independently and as part of a team. Commitment to community service and public engagement.
