The Stamp Out Hunger Food drive is the largest food drive in the country. On May 9th, 2014, cities around the United States will be participating. El Paso’s Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive is a collaboration between the United States Postal Service , United Way of El Paso County and other agencies. All of the food collected in El Paso will stay in the city and go towards families in need. The main distributor of the food is El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank.

On Saturday, May 9th, 2015, we are in need of volunteers at the following locations:

 

- Northgate Station

Address: 5249 Sanders

 

-Sandy Creek Station

Address: 2100 George Dieter

 

-Ysleta Station

880 N. Zaragoza Road

 

Volunteers working at the post office locations will be unloading food from postal worker’s trucks and sorting it into different bins that will be loaded onto semi-trucks to be sent to El Pasoans Fighting Hunger. Volunteers must be over 16 to participate. Volunteers any younger must be accompanied by an adult.  Please contact me by clicking "Respond to Need"  if you are interested in volunteering and let me know where you would like to be placed. Additionally, please forward this email to friends and family! Both individuals and groups are welcome to register.

Volunteers must wear closed toed shoes and wear comfortable clothes that they don't mind getting dirty. When you arrive, please park and enter through the loading dock, as most post offices will be closed to the public. We advise volunteers to bring a refillable water bottle.
