Flying Horse Half Marathon Race Day Volunteers

Race day volunteers play an essential role in ensuring the event is safe, organized, and encouraging for every participant. Volunteer responsibilities may include:

  • Holding directional signs along the course

  • Cheering on and encouraging runners

  • Set up and tear down for the expo

  • Assisting at water stations by handing out water and electrolyte drinks

  • Distributing post-race food, medals, and awards

  • Monitoring the course and calling for assistance if a participant needs help

  • Assisting with course cleanup throughout the event

  • Helping remove course signage, flagging, cones, and other materials after the race

  • Two shifts available- 
  • Shift 1: 5:00 AM – 9:00 AM
    Shift 2: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

    No prior experience is necessary, we'll provide more instructions leading to the event and on-site. All we ask is that you bring comfortable clothing, closed-toe shoes, a positive attitude, and plenty of energy to cheer on our athletes!
