Through United Way of El Paso County's Grade Level Reading Initiative (GLR) , we will be distributing 150 free books to young children who attend the outdoor Downtown Farmers Market. United Way of El Paso's GLR Initiative aims to increase literacy levels for children 1st-3rd grade. In addition the initiative helps build children's own personal libraries.
Outdoor event. Volunteers will distribute book until there are no more left. Please bring own chair and refreshments. Parking available on street as well as parking garage near event. Parking reimbursement will not be provided. Hourly rates are $1.00 for meters.
