Primary Purpose of This Position: This DMRS Festival celebrates the 35th Anniversary of our nonprofit’s work. Volunteers will facilitate festival booths, games, and stands. Booths will include children’s games such as Loterria/Bingo; Red Light, Green Light; Ring Around the Roses; Musical Chairs; Simon Says; Ring Toss; Sack Races; Ball games; and more.
Responsibilities:
Assist in festival management to help raise funds
¨ Maintain a safe environment for patrons and children.
¨ Set Up tents, tables, and stands needed for booths.
¨ Maintain and manage ticket sales and exchanges per game/event.
¨ Must be able to handle a fast paced environment, crowds, and give directions to the public.
¨ Have an upbeat attitude throughout the celebration.
¨ Perform all responsibilities within the framework of DMRS mission and policies.
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of people.
- Ability to speak to patrons in both English and Spanish.
- Attend Orientation/ Training session(s).
- Tuesday September 28, 2021 from 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm
- Saturday October 2, 2021 from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm
