JA Take Stock in Your Future introduces high school students to the stock market. This learning experience includes two components: a classroom curriculum, and for many participants, the JA Stock Market Challenge competition event.
We are in search for volunteers to assist at the student competition taking place on September 24th from 8-1pm at the Starlight Event Center. There are over 350 students taking part and we need volunteers to make this an exceptional experience.
Looking for volunteers who will:
Floor Traders (30): these volunteers are responsible for moving around the trading floor with a tablet set up for trading. Floor Traders will conduct buy and sell orders for participating teams. They must respond as quickly as possible to students’ requests to place orders.
News Runners (15): these volunteers distribute the newsletters and alerts at strategic intervals throughout the competition.
Print Station Attendants (15): these volunteers will remain at the print station(s) throughout the competition and will use a computer and printer to provide students with an up to date copy of their team’s portfolio.
