Position Overview:
We are seeking reliable and compassionate volunteer drivers to pick up food donations from various locations around El Paso and deliver them to shelters, the homeless, and families in need. As a volunteer driver, you are a vital part of our mission to ensure no good food goes to waste.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive to local businesses, events, and donors to collect surplus food
Safely transport and deliver food donations to designated recipients or distribution points
Represent No Lost Food positively and courteously when interacting with donors and recipients
Follow food safety and handling guidelines
Maintain accurate records of pickups and deliveries
Communicate with the No Lost Food team regarding schedules and any issues during routes
Requirements:
Valid driver’s license.
Access to a reliable vehicle (mileage reimbursement may be available)
Ability to lift and carry boxes of food
Punctual, dependable, and able to work independently
Friendly, respectful, and committed to our mission
Flexible availability, even a few hours a week, makes a difference
