Provide assistance with tasks in a clinical setting; support staff in a variety of direct and indirect patient care activities as well as enhance the morale of patients.
What You’ll Do as a Volunteer:
Support the Red Cross mission by helping where needed. Tasks may include: Answering phones, filing, data entry, and other office work. Providing comfort items or assisting with crafts. Offering bedside or chairside support and sharing helpful information. In clinic settings, you might: Help with surgical prep, charting, reception, or patient preparation. Create welcome packets for wounded warriors. Always maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
Qualifications:
- May need additional security clearance (per government regulations).
- Able to follow instructions and willing to learn.
- Works well with others—even in stressful situations.
- Basic office skills (like filing or data entry).
- Great customer service and communication skills (including listening). Comfortable working with different personality types.
- Able to stand for long periods.
- Willing to follow current public health and Red Cross policies.
Typical Volunteer hours (May Vary)
Monday-Friday 7:30am- 4:30pm
Onboarding required (2 days)
Minimum 4 hour shifts
