Who We Are
What is the House of Peace? H.O.P.E. Institute’s debut initiative in El Paso County is the “House of Peace (HoP).” HoP will provide quality living and a comprehensive life management curriculum in a drug and alcohol free environment for the female Veterans of El Paso County. Every HoP will be located in a safe neighborhood with access to public transportation. Upon completion of the program, H.I will assist the residents with acquiring and transitioning to permanent housing.
How Can the Community Collaborate? H.O.P.E. Institute needs the support of the military and government agencies, clubs and organizations, philanthropists, foundations, businesses, volunteers, and the general public through minor renovations, remodeling, landscaping, donations of services, supplies, materials, vehicles, real estate, and monetary funds. Let’s put the TEAM principle to work…Together Everyone Achieves More!
What We Do
An Invitation to the Citizens of El Paso County
H.O.P.E Institute (H.I) will facilitate the transition from dependency to self-sufficiency for the female Veterans of El Paso County who need a place to call home! In 2014 we will launch the Displaced Female Veterans Initiative (DFVI) designed to ensure every female Veteran in El Paso County has affordable housing, education, and employment trainging that paves a gateway to independent living. We will debut El Paso’s first House of Peace (HoP) located at 5020 Rutherford Dr. 79904. Please join us in this collaborative community effort to put an action plan in place to give back to those who have given so selflessly for us! We will strategically “stand up” HoP around El Paso County until the battle against homelessness and poverty is won!
How was the H.O.P.E. Institute Founded? Over a decade and ago during the midst of my military career I received a God-inspired vision centered on service to others. God spoke to me with fervor and clarity! These words still resonate in my mind and will forever be indelibly etched in my heart and soul: “I want you to take care of my children…those who are serious about changing their lives but lack the resources to make that transition.” Out of this ten year journey spawn H.O.P.E. Institute…the Beginning of Second Chances!
