Who We Are

Our unique heritage, diverse economy, and unified regional leadership provide an extraordinary quality of life for all. Delivering sound and exceptional public services to the people of El Paso County through judicious, efficient, and responsive government, and the conscientious development of ideas that produce compassionate solutions to our community's obligations, challenges, and ever-changing demands.

What We Do

Volunteerism is a demonstration of active citizenship and is widely recognized as fundamental to the strength and resilience of a society. Volunteers build community, providing the framework necessary for strong connections and mutual benefits. As such, the El Paso County Volunteer Program creates opportunities for people of all backgrounds to explore their humanity and encounter people and situations they may otherwise not have met or experienced. Volunteers in the El Paso County Volunteer Program serve across county departments and across the geographic expanse of the county. From Agua Dulce to Ascarate Park, from the Veterans Assistance Center to the county courthouse and everywhere in between, El Paso County volunteers learn new skills, share their expertise, and enhance their own lives as well as those of their fellow citizens. Our volunteer program welcomes anyone interested in developing community ownership, reducing social isolation, and finding purpose and meaning in service to others. Join us as we build social capacity to address our current and future community needs.
