UTHealth Houston School of Public Health is a statewide academic institution committed to protecting and improving community health. We educate future public health professionals and work alongside partners to address health challenges, prepare for emergencies, and build resilient communities.

What We Do

UTHealth Houston School of Public Health is one of the major public health schools in Texas. Part of UTHealth Houston (University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston) UTHealth Houston School of Public Health is an academic and research institution dedicated to improving the health and well-being of communities across Texas. We train public health professionals, conduct research on disease prevention, disaster preparedness, health equity, and community resilience, and partner with local organizations to promote health education and emergency response. We offer several academic paths: Master’s Degrees, Doctoral Degrees, Graduate Certificates and Dual -Degree & Accelerated Programs. With campuses located across Texas—including in El Paso—we provide students with opportunities to learn and engage in diverse community health settings while addressing regional and statewide public health challenges.
