Event Details:
The event will honor both Deb Hamlyn and Gloria Salazar, two strong advocates for survivors. Deb Hamlyn is the former CASFV Board President and former City of El Paso Deputy City Manager, who played a pivotal role in CASFV's capital campaign to rebuild its emergency shelter. Gloria Salazar is the Manager of Trauma Education, Injury Prevention and SANE Program at University Medical Center (UMC) where she launched the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) program to support sexual assault victims. We hope you will join us as we celebrate and honor these notable women for their efforts. Since the onset of COVID-19, CASFV’s clients have been extremely vulnerable to victimization, food insecurity, job loss, and homelessness by an increase of 30%. Our services increased to meet this surge in demand to help the most vulnerable victims in our community. Support is needed now more than ever in light of the unique issues faced by domestic violence victims during the pandemic.
Volunteer opportunities available: Wednesday the 19th from 10am to 2:00 pm and Thursday the 20th before the event. Contact us to confirm attendance and for more information.
