Center Against Sexual and Family Violence

El Paso Marathon Water Station
The Center Against Sexual and Family Violence (CASFV) will host a water station at the El Paso Marathon. We will need volunteers to help staff the water station and cheer on the runners. It will be a fun event for ages 14 and up. Further, CASFV will get a grand prize if our water station is placed at the event! Your help is greatly appreciated!
Volunteers must be over 14 years of age. This is an excellent opportunity for groups and those individuals who need community service or service learning hours.
The date scheduled for the El Paso Marathon is Sunday, February 12, 2023.
Volunteers are generally asked to dress in a themed costume. This year the theme is 70’s Get groovy with CASFV. The dress code is below:
Dress code: Attendees are encouraged to get as creative as they like while sticking to the Disco or hippie flower child 70s theme. Bell bottoms with a tie-dye shirt is a classic option.
Volunteers: All volunteers will check in and sign in with Perla Sanchez, Volunteer Services Coordinator. She will then assign you all to captains who will be in charge of cheering, the water table, and the electrolyte station.
Shifts will be from 6:00 am to 9:00 am or 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. (It may last until 1 pm, you can also stay the whole duration of the event).
The location is To Be Determined.
CASFV Water Station meeting on February 3rd, 2023 8:00 am – 12:00 pm: This meeting will be to register for the event, talk about the overall theme, and decorating materials such as posters, signs, and props.
