Description

LATINA TEEN SERVICE LEADER INSTITUTE

This program is designed to support teen girls in developing leadership skills while earning community service hours in a structured, meaningful way. Hosted by Amigas Making a Difference, we are a group dedicated to empowering women, motivating youth, celebrating our culture, and uplifting our community. Participants will engage in leadership training, learn how to plan and lead volunteer projects, connect with positive mentors, and build essential career preparation and college readiness skills.

Throughout the summer program, teen girls will complete 20 hours of community service, including participation in volunteer projects and leadership activities.

Program highlights include:

  • Leadership skill development and teamwork

  • Planning and leading volunteer and service projects

  • Mentorship and positive role modeling

  • Career exploration and professional skill-building

  • College readiness and goal setting

  • Verified community service hours

Upon successful completion of the program, students will receive a certificate of completion and a letter of recommendation, which may be used for college, scholarship, or employment applications. Participants who complete all sessions will be eligible to apply for a college scholarship sponsored by the Amigas Making a Difference organization.
