Join the Children’s Grief Center as a Volunteer! CGC is searching for a new cohort of volunteers to join our team of Volunteer Group Facilitators.
Volunteer group facilitators are responsible for creating a safe, non-judgmental space for participants, listening with empathy, supporting healthy group interactions, and communicating any concerns to staff during debrief. All volunteers are expected to follow Center policies and participate in required trainings and meetings.
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old, complete a background check, attend a required two-day training, and commit to serving for a minimum of one year.
We also ask that volunteers attend at least two group sessions per month. Group nights are currently held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00–9:00 pm, and volunteers are expected to be present for the full session when scheduled.
