Through collaboration, creativity, and service, volunteers play an important role in shaping memorable experiences for guests of all ages. At La Nube, volunteering is more than giving time. It is about building community, learning together, and inspiring the next generation of thinkers and changemakers.
Regular Volunteers Requirement
A minimum of 4 hours per day, per week, with a one-year commitment. This helps build strong connections with our team and the families we serve.
Volunteer Roles
- Exploration Allies (Guest Engagement) - Welcome guests, support exhibit experiences, and help families navigate the museum.
- Spark Squad (Education Support) - Assist educators during workshops, programs, and STEAM activities.
- Memory Makers (Event Support) - Help with setup, execution, and wrap-up of special events and celebrations.
- Behind-the-Scenes Heroes (Cross-Department Support) - Support preparation projects and operational needs across departments.
- Imagination Ambassadors - Community Outreach - Represent La Nube at community events and outreach opportunities.
To become a volunteer, applicants must:
- Submit a Volunteer Application
- Be at least 16 years of age at the time of application
- Complete an interview with the Operations Coordinator
- Attend a general orientation covering La Nube’s mission, policies, and facilities
- Be selected and placed into an appropriate volunteer role
- Complete all required role-specific training prior to beginning service
- All volunteers must successfully complete a background check prior to placement
