Amigas: Youth Leader Summer of Service

Join our Amigas team in making a difference, and developing leadership skills while earning community service hours in a structured, meaningful way. This week-long summer project is hosted by Amigas Making a Difference, we are a group dedicated to empowering women, mentoring youth, celebrating our culture, and uplifting our community. Participants will engage in leadership training, learn how to plan and lead volunteer projects, serve as a mentor for younger kids, and build essential career preparation and college readiness skills.

Throughout the summer program, youth will gain 20 hours of community service, including participation in volunteer projects and leadership activities. 

Program highlights include:

  • Leadership skill development and teamwork

  • Planning and leading volunteer and service projects

  • Mentorship and positive role modeling

  • Career exploration, goal setting and professional skill-building

    Verified community service hours

Upon successful completion of the program, students will receive a certificate of completion and a letter of recommendation, which may be used for scholarship, or employment applications.
