Join us on November 26th at the Downtown Artist and Farmers Market in support of small local businesses and regionally harvested produce and Artisan products. Shop Small Saturday began as a national movement to counteract Black Friday madness within big box shopping after Thanksgiving. The movement has now gone global and encourages the general public to do their holiday shopping with small local businesses. Assistance is needed with set up and breakdown, children's arts and crafts tables, and general logistics. Event will feature live cooking demonstrations with chefs from El Paso owned restaurants and produce/meats grown within the region. Live entertainment and free hands on arts and crafts for the family are also provided.
Volunteer hours are from 7am-2pm. 4 hour shift minimum however entire shift availability preferred. Contact Market@elpasotexas.gov for more information and an application.
