On April 22, the Downtown Artist and Farmers Market hosts its 5th Annual Earth Day Everyday Celebration from 9am-3pm at the Pedestrian Pathway location nestled between the Chihuahuas Stadium and the Convention and Visitors Bureau through the Durango St. bridge.  This large scale special event features a jam packed schedule complete with gardening and cooking demonstrations featuring local produce available at the Market, over four hands on eco-friendly arts and crafts at the teaching artist booths, a community resource fair of local environmental non-profits and organizations, live entertainment and music, dance, yoga, and fitness workshops, and a family fun bicycle ride and safety class.  The event is free and open to the public, as are all of the scheduled programming.  Volunteers are needed to assist with vendor, presenter, and live entertainment load in, set up, tear down, and load out.  Assistance is also needed at the teaching artist booths.  Additional duties assigned on an as needed basis.  Shifts are available from 7:00am-4:30 pm and include a minimum four hour requirement that must include either open or closing.  Volunteers are also welcome to work the entire event as available.
