Clothing drop (10 volunteers needed) 6 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
- Maintain security in clothing drop area
- Hand out clothing drop bags before race start and collect same
from participants after participant bib #’s have been written on
the bag.
- Return clothing drop bags to participants by matching bib #’s
when participants come back to collect.
Food distribution (12 volunteers needed) 6:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
- Hand out food to participants
- Restock food area
- Keep food area clean
Finish line (22 volunteers needed) 7:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
- Report to finish line area for training 30 minutes before race starts
- Finisher medals (10) – Distribute finisher medals to all half and full marathon finishers
- Water distribution (10) – Distribute water to finishers at end of finish line chute. Responsible for re-stocking water to that area.
- Runners ( 2 ) – Post preliminary results in assigned area.
Awards assistance (4 volunteers needed)
- Report to Race Director in finish line area at 6:30 a.m. 8:30 a.m. & 10:00 a.m.
- Assist Race director at awards ceremony handing out trophies and medals
Clean up (15 volunteers needed) 7:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
- Assist with finish line, awards area and food line area clean up
Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes before your shift to facilitate a smooth transition. Report to Volunteer Check In which will be located just in the Durnago St. gate at Southwest University Park and bring:
- Comfortable clothes and shoes
- Light jacket, sunscreen, gloves
-Race day there is no parking available at the ballpark but there is parking available in the Convention Center Garage and the parking structure at Durango & San Antonio.
