In collaboration with Fabens High School, the United Way of El Paso County is currently seeking potential volunteers for the upcoming STEMiCon event. The event will focus on promoting science, technology, engineering, and math activities for young students. In addition, information on careers related to each field will be available. Volunteer position descriptions listed below. Please respond with which position you are interested in along with shirt size. 5 positions available.
All volunteers will receive a Live United shirt. Follow up by Community Impact Coordinator, Debra Dominguez, will occur after registering for event. Please contact 915-533-2434 ext. 243 if needing more information.
- Meet & Greet: Volunteers will meet and greet participants/community members and direct them to the various activities and additional facilities as needed. Towards end of event, volunteer will assist with gathering survey from participants. Bilingual not required but helpful. 2 volunteers needed.
- Survey Taker: Volunteers will assist with gathering surveys from STEMiCon participants prior to them exiting. Survey will be administered either via tablet or paper. Bilingual not required but helpful.3 Volunteers needed.
