Volunteers Needed this Friday 2/10 at our front desk- greet donors!! 9am-3pm

Volunteer opportunities include:

• Refreshment area: Vitalant’s donation centers and blood drives have a refreshment area, also called a canteen. Volunteers manage the area, monitoring donor safety by making sure each donor stays for 15 minutes and enjoys a snack and drink to help replace lost fluids. Most importantly, volunteers make our donors feel appreciated by thanking them for transforming patients’ lives.
• Preregistration : Welcome and greet our donors. Help donors check-in advise on wait time. Handing out promotional gifts to donors.

Please note: We can work with your schedule.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be at least 16
• Orientation or Training
• COVID Vaccination required
• No court-ordered community service allowed

Every day in the U.S., patients in hospitals, surgical centers and emergency treatment facilities need approximately:

• 29,000 units of red blood cells
• 5,000 units of platelets
• 6,500 units of plasma
