Supervisor: Volunteer Coordinator
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Welcome and greet all visitors to the County Courthouse.
- Know the services provided by the county and the locations of county departments and offices.
- Direct lobby traffic.
- Effectively communicate.
- Escort people, as needed, to the proper destination.
- Answer incoming calls and transfer to the appropriate department.
- Preserve strict confidentiality regarding any encounters with county customers or staff.
- Be comfortable standing behind a desk for most of the shift.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers and staff.
- Maintain a positive attitude and provide exemplary customer service.
- Understand the functions of county government and the ways in which citizens are served by the county.
Must undergo a background check, sign a confidentiality statement and liability waiver, and acknowledge receipt of workplace policies and procedures. All volunteers attend a volunteer orientation.
