The purpose of the 2024 El Paso United’s Day of Remembrance is to commemorate the 5-year mark of the August 3rd mass casualty event. It provides a safe space for the community to come together and honor the lives lost in the 2019 tragedy and to reflect on our city's tenacity.
Volunteers are needed in the afternoon of August 3 to help light the luminarias. The luminarias will illuminate the entrance of Ascarate Park and the healing garden, symbolizing our community’s path to long-term healing.
